Field Service Engineer:
The purpose of this position is to provide installation and maintenance of the security systems and x-ray equipment used for security screening at Tirana Airport.
The Field Service Engineer will use independent judgment and discretion to ensure all facets of safety protocols are followed and that screening and detection equipment as well as other security equipment and devices are operated and maintained at the highest level of efficiency and reliability.
As Field Service Engineer you are responsible for providing professional service and support for S2 equipment, by performing field service troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on the systems.
You will independently perform field service activities within guidelines and in compliance with internal procedures and regulations.
Responsible for preventing system failure, detecting anomalies right on time, maintaining the system, fixing issues, etc.
Conduct periodic and scheduled maintenance of a variety of electronic equipment including x-ray screening devices and systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and subsystems including x-ray imaging systems, power supplies, computers and servers, computer peripherals, CCTV, and access control systems using technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and service documentation.
Handle on-call requests for the repair of equipment due to malfunction or failure. Determine when repairs require more expert capability and determine when assigned equipment is unserviceable.
Follows prescribed maintenance procedures and ensures that parts and tools needed to support and facilitate repairs are readily available. Advise superiors on the appropriate storage of parts and tools and ensures that all parts and tools are tracked and appropriately inventoried.
Completes paperwork and documentation such as service reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions, etc., on time and without errors.
Make recommendations to superiors on eliminating or easing field maintenance or operational problems.
The ideal candidate:
University Degree in engineering, preferable would be to have finished also professional schools, in relevant technical fields.
Must be a ‘hands-on’ engineer or technician who is multidisciplined, with proven three (3) years of experience in installation and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment (troubleshooting and repairs), especially electronic and electrical systems, etc.
Skills in IT, ability to solve hardware problems on servers and computers, update software configurations, backups and restoring on servers and computers as needed, networking, etc.
Experience with security systems, CCTV, Access Controls, etc.
Strong logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Satisfactorily complete all training requirements and willing to work in shifts.
Good communication skills (Able to clearly communicate between the management and the key departments) and in English.
Proven ability to effectively work in a demanding and challenging environment.
Show responsibility and can adapt to circumstances, be proactive, and drive for changes.
Team player who can work both within a team and independently without supervision.
